Bunny

Unknown

🐰 Bunny is looking for his forever home Our dear Bunny is a friendly, curious and open-minded neutered male rabbit around 1 year old who is searching for a loving new home. He enjoys exploring everything new and shows himself to be an open-hearted little character with lots of charm. Unfortunately, Bunny lost his previous home because he was acquired in a thoughtless purchase and his care could not be guaranteed permanently. Now we wish for him people who consciously choose rabbits and want to give him a permanent, appropriate home. Since rabbits are very social animals, Bunny will not be placed in single housing. He should live with at least one suitable companion so he can enjoy the company that rabbits need for a happy life. Who gives this lovable guy a second chance on a forever home? 💚 Bunny is looking forward to an appropriate life with rabbit companionship, enough space and people who take him into their hearts.

About Bunny

What life with Bunny looks like

Bunny is a small adult rabbit waiting at Landestierschutzverein Steiermark in Graz.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇦🇹Adopting from Austria

Austrian shelters follow the federal Tierschutzgesetz framework: adopters sign a Schutzvertrag (protection contract) committing to the animal's welfare. Spay/neuter, microchip, and vaccinations are included; fees typically range €150–€350.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bunny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bunny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Landestierschutzverein Steiermark handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bunny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bunny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Landestierschutzverein Steiermark will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bunny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bunny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Landestierschutzverein Steiermark early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bunny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
