Busy

European Shorthair · Unknown · Kitten

Breed: European Shorthair Born: around May 4, 2026 Medical: vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, declawed, and comes with a referral letter for spaying/neutering Temperament: Playful, energetic, cheerful Litter-trained: yes Origin: stray Case number: 2074 This is Busy. Busy has been placed in a foster home together with her mom Nova, her brothers Barry and Po, and her sisters Liza and Coco. From the very beginning, Busy has been everywhere—she’s extremely adventurous and, as her name suggests, always on the go. She loves running, playing, and roughhousing with her siblings. This girl adores every single piece of toy and simply has to try everything out. If you have a fishing rod with a string, this lady will perform the most acrobatic leaps for you! When you enter the room, she’ll greet you first with a little meow or chirp. Busy keeps an eye on you and walks alongside you, though she’s not quite cuddly yet. Actually, she’s starting to appreciate a gentle scratch along her back more and more. Since this lady is very energetic, a playmate or household where she gets plenty of attention and playtime would be ideal. She’s not used to children in the foster home, but given her social nature, this shouldn’t be a problem with a bit of patience. This kitten is currently staying in a foster home. Would you like to meet Busy? Then please fill out the interest form: Interest Form for Kittens – Animal Shelter Hart van Brabant After that, we’ll get in touch. Are you interested in adopting a kitten? You don’t just pick a cat on a whim, which is why we take our time to ensure a good and careful match. For our shelter cats, we follow a thorough selection process. During the introduction meeting, you’ll meet both the kitten and the foster family. Together, we’ll assess whether there’s a good match between you, your home situation, and the kitten. If the introduction goes well, we’ll arrange the further administrative steps at the Animal Shelter (by appointment). You’ll then make an appointment with the foster family to pick up the kitten. This way, we make sure that every cat ends up in the right place for a loving and lasting future! Available from: July 26, 2026

About Busy

What life with Busy looks like

Busy is a puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant in Netherlands.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Busy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Busy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Busy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Busy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Busy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Busy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant early rather than rehoming privately; they know Busy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
