Im Juni 2026 werden es 8 Jahre, seitdem die beiden Brüder im Canile aufgenommen wurden. 8 Jahre in denen sie die Hoffnung nicht aufgegeben, viele Artgenossen kommen und auch gehen sehen haben und es sind 8 lange Jahre, in denen auch beide auf ihre Familien gewartet und gehofft haben. Auch wenn es ganz besonders die älteren und kranken Hunde sehr, sehr schwer haben, wenigstens einmal in ihrem Leben in eine Familie aufgenommen zu werden, so sind gerade SIE es, die es so sehr verdient haben und so dringend brauchen. Calvin & Rosso wurden beide positiv auf die Leishmaniose getestet und werden je nach Symptomatik mit Allopurinol behandelt. Für die so dringend notwendigen, regelmäßigen Blutuntersuchungen zur Kontrolle und der u.U. auch notwendigen Behandlung mit Milteforan bzw. Domperidon steht kein Geld von der comune zur Verfügung. So wird den Hunden eine sehr wirksame und effektive Behandlungsmöglichkeit vorenthalten, die ihnen mehr Lebenszeit und Lebensqualität schenken würde. Leishmaniose – keine Panik bitte! Auch wenn die Krankheit natürlich einen gewissen Schrecken mit sich bringt, so können inzwischen auch Hunde mit dieser Infektion bzw. Erkrankung bei rechtzeitiger Erkennung und optimaler Behandlung ein ganz normales Lebensalter erreichen. Beide Jungs sind absolut zutraulich, haben keine Scheu vor Menschen und suchen aktiv den Kontakt. Zwei ganz liebe Zeitgenossen, mit denen es das Schicksal bisher noch nicht gut gemeint hat. Wie wünschen uns für die Brüder liebvolle Familien, die ihnen die Welt auf der anderen Seite des Gitters zeigen, bevor es irgendwann zu spät sein wird.
