adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Caramina has found her home! Her story: Caramina is a beautiful young female dog with a particularly charming, light spotted fur pattern. She captivates not only through her appearance but also with her very sensitive nature; she is a little sunbeam. With her lovable disposition, good mood, and joy in attention, she wins every heart. In mid-May, Caramina had a stroke of luck and got to move into a loving foster family. At first, she was a bit shy, but now she is already well thawed out. She has a big heart that longs for closeness and shows herself to be clingy, cuddly, and affectionate, enjoying all kinds of snuggle time. She loves people and especially enjoys being stroked and spoiled. Caramina is a loving and lively female dog who gets along very well with the other dogs in the household. She loves to run wild in the garden with her pack and explore nature. She walks well on a leash and has been house-trained from the start. It would be wonderful to have a lot of time for Caramina, but she can also be left alone for up to four hours. Originally, the young female dog came from Romania, Zalau, and was rescued from a euthanasia station. Thanks to the support of our animal welfare workers, she is safe and has the chance at a happy new life. Our little sunbeam deserves only the best home with loving, empathetic people who can give Caramina plenty of time and attention, whether on green walks, snuggle sessions on the couch, or shared adventures. A rural place with a garden would be ideal, preferably with an only dog, as she loves nature and likes to move around. Caramina is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and has an EU pet passport. Has Caramina snuck into your heart? Many thanks, Susi G. You gave Caramina her beautiful name and thus her own identity. Status: 19.06.

Vielen Dank Susi G. About Caramina

What life with Caramina looks like

Caramina is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Caramina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Caramina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Caramina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Caramina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Caramina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Caramina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Caramina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
