Adopt Carlo (von Giovanna)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Name: Carlo. Breed: Mix. Age: born 2022. Gender: male. Size: medium. Neutered/Sterilized: no - too young. Location / Country: Italy. Description Carlo – left at the bakery… Please look into the big, loyal eyes of this sweet little dog. Can these eyes leave anyone cold? The people who tied Carlo up and abandoned him outside a bakery in Italy must have been heartless. At that time, Carlo was probably not even four months old and had to experience the full coldness and cruelty of humans. Fortunately, instead of bringing Carlo to an animal shelter, the baker notified a kind animal rescuer. The rescuer took Carlo in and has been taking care of him. Now Carlo has been living with her for several weeks and is gradually warming up. He is regaining trust and starting to play and romp with his fellow animals. Clearly, he is having a lot of fun playing. But Carlo also gets along well with people despite his bad experiences. He is increasingly seeking closeness, enjoying cuddles and affection. At the same time, he is becoming more and more of a clown, quickly bringing a smile to your face. Yes, Carlo is through and through a loving, playful, yet loyal family dog. Carlo just needs to find the right people who want to give him a wonderful home forever. People who can offer him a warm place, love, and protection. We are sure that Carlo will repay these people with loyalty, love, and devotion. Have you fallen in love with the little clown Carlo as quickly as we did? If so, please contact us. We look forward to hearing from you and for Carlo. Cat-friendly: unknown. Compatible with fellow animals: with male dogs, with female dogs. Contact person: Frau Christine Sander. Email: « Ledy Rocky ». Gets along with other dogs.

Name: Carlo. Rasse: MixAlter: geboren 2022.

About Carlo (von Giovanna)

What life with Carlo (von Giovanna) looks like

Carlo (von Giovanna) is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Adozioni del cuore e.V. in Wedel.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Carlo (von Giovanna), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Carlo (von Giovanna)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adozioni del cuore e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Carlo (von Giovanna) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Carlo (von Giovanna) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adozioni del cuore e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Carlo (von Giovanna) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Carlo (von Giovanna) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adozioni del cuore e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Carlo (von Giovanna) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
