Cassiopeia

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Cassiopeia has found her home! Her story: Cassiopeia came to us with her nine puppies from a nearby city of Zalau. She had a previous owner in the past, but he did not take care of her, and her previous puppies have gone missing. That's why we were asked to find a loving home for the beautiful dog mom. Cassiopeia is approximately 44 cm tall and weighs around 15 kg. At about 2 years old, she is still a young female dog who has much to experience. Although she already had a previous owner, a loving home is still unfamiliar to her. Since many dogs in Romania must live outdoors, we assume that her life in a household is still unknown. But with a little patience, she will quickly learn the rules for a happy coexistence. Initially, she is reserved with new people. However, she warms up quickly and then seeks the proximity to people, enjoying cuddles. Leash and harness, as well as new situations, are still stressful for her, but with patience and empathy, Cassiopeia will also master these hurdles with her new family. A visit to a positively working dog training class could certainly help here. Her beautiful dark fur with the light marking on her chest makes her unmistakable. The sweet fluffy ear stands surround her pretty face, and her wise eyes enchant directly. The lovely Cassiopeia is compatible with other dogs. A compatibility with others with cats has not yet been tested. Cassiopeia travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, and has a valid EU pet passport. Stand: 30.10. We show her what it means to live in a loving home? We thank Margit M! very much for naming Cassiopeia and giving her the chance at a happy future.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 30.10.2025

About Cassiopeia

What life with Cassiopeia looks like

Cassiopeia is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cassiopeia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cassiopeia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cassiopeia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cassiopeia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cassiopeia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cassiopeia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cassiopeia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
