Castells was left tied up at the entrance of our shelter in September 2023 as a young puppy. Nothing is known about his past or previous owners. By now, Castells has grown into a young dog and shows a relaxed demeanor in the dog group. Despite his size, he spends a lot of time lying contentedly in the sun. Occasionally, he plays with the other dogs, but as soon as he gets enough of it, he retreats. When he knows people, he is friendly and enjoys being petted. However, with strangers, he is suspicious and can growl if they come too close. He is particularly more trusting of women. Once he has won someone as a friend, however, he remains loyal and does not forget his trusted people. Castells loves being petted and spending time with familiar people. However, during walks, he still shows insecurity, especially when there are vehicles nearby. This behavior suggests that he does not cope well with urban surroundings and heavy traffic. For Castells, an ideal home would be in a rural or quiet environment. He would fit well with an individual or a couple who are active outdoors and can offer plenty of cuddles. Other dogs that are not overly intrusive would be good company for him – whether in the same household or as walking buddies.

Castells wurde Im September 2023 als junger Hund am Eingang des Tierheims angebunden zurückgelassen. Über seine Vergangenheit und seine früheren Besitzer ist nichts bekannt. Inzwischen ist Castells zu einem Junghund herangewachsen und zeigt sich entspannt in der Hundegruppe. Trotz seiner Größe verbringt er viel Zeit damit, gemütlich in der Sonne zu liegen. Ab und zu spielt er mit den anderen Hunden, doch sobald es ihm genug wird, zieht er sich wieder zurück. Menschen, die er kennt, begegnet er freundlich und genießt es, gestreichelt zu werden. Bei Fremden ist er jedoch misstrauisch und kann knurren, wenn sie ihm zu nahe kommen. Besonders bei Frauen fasst er etwas schneller Vertrauen. Hat man ihn jedoch einmal als Freund gewonnen, bleibt er loyal und vergisst seine Bezugspersonen nicht. Castells liebt es, gestreichelt zu werden und Zeit mit vertrauten Menschen zu verbringen. Beim Spazierengehen zeigt er sich jedoch noch unsicher, insbesondere wenn Fahrzeuge in seiner Nähe sind.
