Charlie and Alfie

Charlie (brown) and Alfie (white) are looking for a new home together where they can enjoy human company, go on nice walks and snuggle up at the end of the day. They would love company through the day, a garden and to go on adventures. No flats please, they would prefer to live in a fairly quiet area. They are both very social and love attention, Alfie in particular loves being in the middle of everything. Alfie needs regular ear cleaning but this would be covered by DAS under the Old Dog Scheme in his new home. * Charlie gives a warm welcome to all visitors and he likes meeting new people and getting attention from them. Alfie also wants to be friends with everyone and will sometimes jump up if he feels he is not getting enough attention. He will jump and sit next to someone on the sofa, he loves a cuddle. They are fine with meeting children when outside, but have not lived with any before. Alfie is very friendly with other dogs and wants to be friends, have a good sniff and play if they are friendly. Whereas Charlie can be nervous of larger, bouncy dogs, but he still wants to be friends with them. Charlie may hide behind the owner but once they have said hello to the dog, he will become more interested. Both walk well on and off-lead in a secure area. Their recall is fairly good, Alfie is definitely motivated by treats. They travel well in the car and are good at the vets. They can be left for a few hours, but Alfie is happier having someone at home. Alfie may bark once or twice if someone comes to the door, but generally the boys do not bark often. Both like a bath and brush and have been to the groomer; Alfie in particular loves a bath so much, he will jump in. Charlie is a fun boy, always up for a walk or cuddles and he will go to sleep on your legs on the sofa. Alfie is also very friendly and is happy doing a short walk or several miles. He loves food and is always sad when he finishes his dinner. *OLD DOG SCHEME: Dog Aid Scotland’s Old Dog Scheme covers dogs rehomed at 8 years old or above. This means that we will cover costs for veterinary care for the dog for the remainder of their life within reason. We do not cover costs for routine treatments such as vaccinations, worming and flea treatment. If the dog requires special dietary food we will contribute 50% of the cost.
