He had been kept in a shack in appalling conditions alongside two other Setters and three puppies — living in filth, surrounded by rats that had even chewed on the puppies' tails. Food was a luxury Charlie and his companions rarely saw. Despite everything he endured, Charlie is an absolute star. He faced his treatment for leishmaniasis with quiet bravery — not a single peep, not a moment of fuss. We are doing everything we can to show him that his painful past is behind him, and that a bright, safe future is well on its way. He is a happy boy, good with all dogs and loves children. In the park, he spotted two little girls and went straight to them. He installed himself between the two girls and on his back started to wave his legs in the air while the girls were making a fuss. What a funny boy!
