Charline

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Charline is a friendly and active female dog who is very pleasant around people. She walks well on a leash and gets along very well with other dogs. With her lively nature, she is a beautiful companion for people who enjoy activities together. Charline is currently about 7 years old, about 47 cm tall, and weighs around 20 kg. This makes her a comfortable medium size. Her story began under sad circumstances: Charline was found on a forest parking lot with her daughter. Both were severely underweight, dehydrated, and covered in ticks. Unfortunately, dogs and cats are often abandoned at this location. For Charline and her daughter, rescue meant the chance to escape this life. Today, Charline lives with her daughter at Raluca's foster home, on a secure property mostly outdoors and with nearly 25 other dogs of both sexes and age groups. In the large dog group, she has quickly found her way and is very friendly and playful with her fellow dogs. In the foster home, both are now safe - a life in a family of their own cannot replace the outdoor accommodation with Raluca, of course. Charline already brings good conditions: She walks well on a leash, is compatible with other dogs, is not yet old at about 7 years, and will certainly be a great companion for various activities and adventures. Currently, she still shows that she does not like sharing food by growling. This should be considered and managed accordingly in her new home. We are looking for people who like to be on the go with their dog and give her an active, yet reliable home. Life in a home will bring many new impressions for Charline. She will have to get used to household noises, fixed routines, walks, and various everyday situations. However, her open and approachable nature provides a good foundation for this. She does not like cats, so no cat should live in her future home. Charline travels spayed, chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-free with her valid EU pet passport to her new home. After a positive pre-check, she can be adopted for a deposit. A loving foster home would also be a good chance for her. Thank you Brigitte R.! You gave Charline her name! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Brigitte R.! Du hast Charline ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 03.10.2026 Weitere Informationen zum Thema Vorkontrolle und Schutzgebühr

About Charline

What life with Charline looks like

Charline is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Charline, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Charline?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Charline on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Charline if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Charline already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Charline isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Charline and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
