Adopt Chloe

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten · 9 months

adoption requirements adoption process Request this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Request this cat now! Chloe was born on the street and has known the life of uncertainty from the beginning. Along with her siblings, she was found with a severe respiratory infection. She received timely medical treatment and has recovered well. Unfortunately, one of her siblings did not survive. Chloe is a sensitive kitten. She is shy and needs time to trust. In new situations, she hides at first and may hiss out of fear. She is not aggressive, but simply cautious and still learning that people mean well by her. She feels safer with other cats and strongly follows them. Therefore, she will not be rehomed as a single cat. Dogs have not been tested yet. Outdoor access is not an option for Chloe. She needs a protected, quiet home where she can arrive at her own pace. Regarding her travel arrangements, Chloe is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She is negative for FIV and FeLV. Whoever takes Chloe in needs patience and understanding - but will experience how a cautious stray kitten gradually becomes a trusting companion. A heartfelt thank you to godfather Victor C., who supports Chloe and gives her a real chance for a safe life. Updated: 08.05.

About Chloe

What life with Chloe looks like

Chloe is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Chloe, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Chloe?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Chloe on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Chloe if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Chloe already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Chloe isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Chloe and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
