Choco – 4 year old Male

Labrador Retriever Β· Male

Meet Choco 🐾 Hi, I’m Choco! I’m a 4-year-old Chocolate Labrador with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! I might look smaller in my photos, but don’t let them fool youβ€”I’m actually a big boy! Sometimes I forget just how big I am and still think I’m a little lap dog! I’m full of life, love, and energy, and I’m always ready for my next adventure. Whether it’s exploring new places, playing games, or spending time with my favourite people, I’m happiest when I’m on the go. Because I’m such a clever lad, I’ll need a home that can give me plenty of mental stimulation as well as exercise. I love using my brain, and with the right guidance I’ll really thrive. I’d love a family who can give me some structure, continue my training, and keep me busy with fun activities, enrichment, and lots of adventures. I would really love a home where someone is around for most of the day, or where there’s usually someone at home. I absolutely love being with my people and enjoy lots of attention. Having someone around means we’ll be able to enjoy plenty of walks, games, training sessions, and fun activities together to keep both my body and busy brain happy. The kennel team are still getting to know me, so they’ll be updating my profile as they learn more about me. They still need to carry out some dog introductions, so I could potentially live with another friendly dog, but this will depend on successful meets. I’m looking for a cat-free home, as I do enjoy barking at cats! Because I’m such a big, bouncy boy, I’d be best suited to a home with children aged 16 and over. However, the kennel team may consider younger children if they are confident and experienced around large, boisterous dogs like me. I’m a lovely, affectionate boy who just wants to be part of the family. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will keep you smiling and join you on all of life’s adventures, I could be the perfect match for you. Could you be the family I’ve been waiting for? I can’t wait to meet you! My adoption fee is Β£350.

About Choco – 4 year old Male

What life with Choco – 4 year old Male looks like

Choco – 4 year old Male is a extra-large adult labrador retriever dog waiting at Rain Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible β€” a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Choco – 4 year old Male, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Choco – 4 year old Male?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rain Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Choco – 4 year old Male on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Choco – 4 year old Male if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Rain Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Choco – 4 year old Male already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Choco – 4 year old Male isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rain Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Choco – 4 year old Male and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
