His story: His unique rescue began on a sunny, hot morning—the morning of the departure of two team colleagues from Romania. On a hill in front of a church, they discovered the dehydrated and neglected male dogs and tried to secure him. Although he could be lured with food and even stroked, he became afraid of the leash and eventually fled. Devastated by their failure, the two women decided: If he should ever be in safety, he should be named ChurchHill—found on a hill in front of a church! The six-year-old male dog was eventually secured a week later through the Romanian volunteer Calin and was immediately taken to the clinic. Later, he moved into our shelter in Zalău and is now waiting for the one application that will forever improve his life. Who would like to give this loving male dog a home? He shouldn’t have to spend the rest of his life in a small pen! ChurchHill is a good boy! Anyone who looks into his shining, gentle, brown eyes can immediately see it. He shows a very affectionate and open side once he gets to know a person. By now, he even lets himself be fitted with a harness and walks well on a leash. For treats, he does everything—he seems to be a little stud and will surely develop into an excellent companion in all life situations in the right environment. His size, with a shoulder height of 54 cm and his athletic weight, make him a dream dog for everyday life. Our gentle friend with the statesman-like name is also very friendly with his fellow animals in the shelter. In fact, he doesn’t show much interest in them and prefers to be stroked by the local volunteers. He hasn’t yet been tested with cats. We are looking for a home for ChurchHill in a suburban or rural location. An enclosed garden or yard where he can sun himself would be ideal. The brown-eyed, peaceful male dog will travel neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas to his new home. Seine Geschichte: Seine einzigartige Rettungsaktion begann an einem sonnigen, heißen Morgen – dem Morgen der Abreise von zwei Teamkolleginnen aus Rumänien. Auf einem Hügel vor einer Kirche entdeckten sie den dehydrierten und verwahrlosten Rüden und versuchten, ihn zu sichern. Er ließ sich zwar mit Futter anlocken und sogar streicheln, bekam aber Angst vor der Leine und floh schließlich. Untröstlich über ihren Misserfolg beschlossen die beiden Frauen: Wenn er irgendwann in Sicherheit sein sollte, dann soll er ChurchHill heißen – gefunden auf einem Hügel vor einer Kirche eben! Der sechsjährige Rüde konnte dann letztendlich eine Woche später durch den rumänischen Ehrenamtlichen Calin gesichert werden und wurde sofort in der Klinik versorgt. Später zog er in unser Shelter in Zalău ein und wartet nun auf die eine Anfrage, die sein Leben für immer zum Besseren wenden soll. Wer möchte dem lieben Rüden ein Zuhause schenken? Er soll nicht sein restliches Leben in einem kleinen Zwinger verbringen müssen! ChurchHill ist ein guter Kerl! Das erkennt jeder sofort, der ihm in seine leuchtenden, sanften, braunen Augen schaut. Er zeigt sich sehr liebevoll und aufgeschlossen, sobald er einen Menschen kennengelernt hat. Mittlerweile lässt er sich sogar schon das Geschirr anziehen und läuft gut an der Leine. Für Leckerlis macht er eben alles – er scheint ein kleiner Streber zu sein und wird sich sicher in der richtigen Umgebung zu einem tollen Begleiter in allen Lebenslagen entwickeln. Auch seine Größe mit einer Schulterhöhe von 54 cm und sein sportliches Gewicht machen ihn zu einem Traumhund für den Alltag. Unser sanfter Freund mit dem staatsmännischen Namen ist im Shelter auch mit seinen Artgenossen sehr umgänglich. Tatsächlich interessiert er sich nicht übermäßig für sie und lässt sich lieber von den Ehrenamtlichen vor Ort streicheln. Mit Katzen konnte er bisher noch nicht getestet werden. Wir suchen für ChurchHill ein Zuhause in Stadtrand- oder dörflicher Lage. Ein eingezäunter Garten oder Hof, in dem er sich seinen graugestromten Bauch sonnen kann, wäre optimal. Der braunäugige, friedfertige Rüde reist kastriert, gechipt, entwurmt und entfloht in sein neues Zuhause. Gegen eine Schutzgebühr von 500 Euro und nach einer positiven Vorkontrolle kann er seine Reise zu euch schnellstmöglich antreten. Auch über eine Pflegestelle würde er sich sehr freuen!
