Cid-Zuhause gefunden

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

Cid has found his people. Cid was allowed to leave the animal shelter on January 14th and travel to his family, who had been eagerly awaiting him. Unfortunately, the joy of the family reunion was quickly dampened when a family member developed a strong allergy within a few days. Therefore, he is now searching for another loving home. Cid has handled the travel well and is a happy, curious puppy. Everything is exciting and interesting, and playing and cuddling are simply wonderful. Cid is very eager to learn and already knows that a "sit" can be rewarding. Treats are already being given out frequently, and training is ongoing. Cid still doesn't really like his harness or being on a leash and sometimes needs encouragement. He gets along very well with the children, seeks their proximity, and enjoys being petted. Cid still has a lot to learn and get to know, including potty training, processing new environmental impressions, and following the rules in his family. If you don't mind sleepless nights, have empathy, good nerves, and patience, then don't hesitate to contact us. Cid can be visited by arrangement. Cid and his siblings were found alone on a field in early September. The heartless owner had snatched the 11 puppies from their mother and left them to die. The little ones were only a few days old. One puppy had already died, and the chances of the others surviving were slim. But Cid is a little fighter and has developed well under the loving care of Ancsa. Now he frolics happily with his siblings and explores his surroundings. But an animal shelter is not a place where a puppy should grow up. The kennel is very small, and there are a lack of external stimuli. Therefore, we hope that Cid, once he is travel-ready (earliest at 15 weeks), will be allowed to leave the animal shelter and move into his home. At first, almost everything will be new to him, and he will be terrified of many things. Therefore, it is important that his people gently introduce him to new things and give him the necessary security. Who falls in love with our sweet Cid and gives him a home from which he will never have to leave again?

DE·Show original

About Cid-Zuhause gefunden

What life with Cid-Zuhause gefunden looks like

Cid-Zuhause gefunden is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fellfreunde e.V. in Solingen.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cid-Zuhause gefunden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cid-Zuhause gefunden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fellfreunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cid-Zuhause gefunden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cid-Zuhause gefunden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fellfreunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cid-Zuhause gefunden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cid-Zuhause gefunden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fellfreunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cid-Zuhause gefunden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
