Cleo

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Cleo (born 07/2026) is a friendly, outgoing puppy girl. She currently has a shoulder height of approximately 27-30 cm. Cleo is still growing due to her age. We are looking for a loving home or a dedicated foster home for the little mouse, where she can take her first steps into a new life with family connection. Please note that Cleo will not remain a cute puppy for a few weeks. She will need time, patience, training, and loving guidance. Puberty often brings challenges that require understanding, consistency, and perseverance. Leaving alone must also be learned. After an acclimation period and when trust is established, this can be learned slowly and step by step. Therefore, we are looking for people who are aware of the responsibility and effort that comes with accompanying a puppy until adulthood and who would like to give her a permanent, safe home. If you are willing to walk the path with Cleo, she will develop into a great companion for life! Cleo is vaccinated and chipped and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive preliminary check. Due to her age, she is not yet spayed. Departure possible immediately! General note on our protégés: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so that we can reassess their behavior and development. These personal impressions help us very much to convey a good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new routines and new impressions - can also behave differently. This is normal and is part of every change process. Many dogs open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the shelter. Our assessments are based on current observations, but are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They should provide guidance and show how the dog presents himself in the shelter - and what potential he has. We are convinced: With patience, understanding and a loving environment, every dog can find his way and develop positively.

Cleo (geb.

About Cleo

What life with Cleo looks like

Cleo is a puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cleo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cleo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cleo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cleo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Cleo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cleo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cleo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
