The sweet Clio was caught and taken away by our animal protectors during a spay-neuter campaign in the streets of Romania. These campaigns are very important to reduce animal suffering. Typically, the animals are caught, neutered, and then released back into the environment. However, our colleagues on the ground noticed that Clio was a bit weaker, so they kept her in custody for a week to perk her up until she was fully healthy. After that, they couldn't bring themselves to put the little female cat back on the streets, so we are now searching for a nice home for her. Since the original plan was to release Clio back into the environment, she was already marked. This marking, an ear clip, is an important tool in life-saving spay-neuter efforts in animal protection. Such an ear clip is immediately recognizable and prevents an animal from being caught and subjected to a second campaign. The clip is performed under general anesthesia during the spay procedure and does not cause or hinder the cat once it has healed. Clio needs a short adjustment period to get used to new environments and new people. However, if you give her a little time and a lot of love during this phase and show her that you mean well by her, you will earn her eternal love and devotion. Once this black-and-white kitten thaws out, she is very outgoing and will not miss an opportunity to receive attention. Since Clio is a very social cat, we would like to find her a home where at least one other cat is present or where she can move in with another cat. This extremely agreeable cat also gets along well with dogs. To ensure that she can fully relax and always feel safe, we can only place Clio in a home that is suitable for apartment living – she simply wants to leave her previous hard life on the streets behind. Clio is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, in possession of an EU pet passport, and can pack her bags and start her new life against an adoption fee. Die süße Clio wurde während einer Kastrations-Kampagne auf den Straßen Rumäniens von unseren Tierschützern eingefangen und mitgenommen. Diese Kampagnen sind sehr wichtig, um das Tierleid einzudämmen. Hierbei werden die Tiere für gewöhnlich gefangen, kastriert und danach wieder frei gelassen. Unseren Kollegen vor Ort fiel jedoch auf, dass Clio ein wenig schwächelte, sodass sie sie für eine Woche in Gewahrsam behielten und aufpeppelten, bis sie wieder ganz gesund war. Danach brachten sie es nicht übers Herz, die kleine Katzendame wieder auf die Straße zu setzen, weshalb wir nun ein schönes Zuhause für sie suchen. Da der ursprüngliche Plan jedoch war, Clio wieder frei zu lassen, wurde sie bereits markiert. Diese Markierung, ein Schnitt am Ohr, ist ein wichtiges Instrument der lebensrettenden Kastrations-Bemühungen im Tierschutz. Eine solche Ohrmakierung ist auf den ersten Blick erkennbar und verhindert, dass ein Tier in einer zweiten Kampagne ein weiteres Mal eingefangen und einer Operation ausgesetzt wird. Der Schnitt wird während der Kastration unter Vollnarkose ausgeführt und schmerzt oder behindert die Katze nicht mehr, sobald sie verheilt ist. Clio benötigt eine kurze Eingewöhnungsphase, um sich in neuen Umgebungen und mit neuen Menschen zurechtzufinden. Wenn man ihr jedoch in dieser Phase ein wenig Zeit und viel Liebe gibt und ihr zeigt, dass man es gut mit ihr meint, verdient man sich die ewige Liebe und Zuneigung dieser treuen Gefährtin. Sobald dieses schwarz-weiße Kätzchen aufgetaut ist, ist sie sehr zutraulich und lässt keine Chance aus, Aufmerksamkeit zu erhalten. Da Clio eine sehr soziale Katze ist, wünschen wir uns für sie ein Zuhause, in dem mindestens eine andere Katze ist oder mit ihr einziehen dürfte. Auch mit Hunden versteht sich diese äußerst verträgliche Katze gut. Damit sie vollends zur Ruhe kommen und sich stets sicher fühlen kann, vermitteln wir Clio nur in ein Zuhause in reiner Wohnungshaltung – sie möchte ihr bisheriges, hartes Leben auf der Straße einfach hinter sich lassen. Clio ist gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht, im Besitz eines EU-Heimtierausweises und kann gegen eine Schutzgebühr ihr Köfferchen packen und in ihr neues Leben starten.
