adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Clyde has found a home! His story: The approximately 9-month-old Clyde currently lives in a foster home due to his good fortune. With a shoulder height of about 39 cm and a weight of around 7 kg, he brings the best prerequisites for a happy puppy. It is likely that he will grow to an agreeable, medium-sized size. Clyde is a very affectionate and loyal young male dog who has already built a close bond with his foster parents. In new situations and with strangers, he initially shows a bit of shyness, but warms up quickly when met with calmness and given a little time to build trust. The small Terrier mix learns incredibly fast and is almost house-trained – here, just a bit of routine is still needed. The environmental training should also be further strengthened, as Clyde wants to get to know the world even better and become more secure in it. He gets along very well with other dogs, and an independent only dog could give him additional orientation and security. Typical Terriers also bring a portion of stubbornness with them, and Clyde can occasionally be stubborn. Driving currently is not one of his favorite activities, but can certainly be improved with patience and positive conditioning. Additionally, Clyde looks forward to training in rest and mental stimulation, which challenges and benefits him meaningfully. Clyde is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, and dewormed. For someone who wants to give a young, eager, and loving dog a safe, patient home, Clyde finds a faithful companion who is ready to go through life together. Many thanks to the anonymous sponsor, you gave Clyde a name and thus the chance at a new beginning. As of: 18.12. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 18.12.2025

About Clyde

What life with Clyde looks like

Clyde is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Clyde, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Clyde?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Clyde on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Clyde if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Clyde already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Clyde isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Clyde and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
