The Malinois female dog Ledy was rescued from Ancsa to prevent her from being killed. The holding period was over, and no one had searched for Ledy. Like most dogs in the kill shelter, Ledy was very distressed and traumatized. Not uncommonly, large dogs are brutally snared with nets. Even after her rescue, Ledy showed extreme aversion and aggression towards people. Since this behavior did not improve and we do not save dogs only to confine them for the rest of their lives, Ancsa sent Ledy to a dog shelter for re-socialization. She was intensively trained. Ledy learned to tolerate the proximity of people and gradually understood that no danger came from them. In the first days, no one could touch her, as she would immediately become openly aggressive and snap forward. Training on a leash was not even considered, and so the trainer initially only went into Ledy’s kennel. He managed to win Ledy’s trust and could handle her. Even training in the city with her was attempted. Unfortunately, the training did not yield lasting success, and Ledy generally remains aggressively and openly hostile towards people.

Die Malinois-Hündin Ledy wurde von Ancsa aus der Tötung gerettet. Die Aufbewahrungsfrist war um, niemand hatte nach Ledy gesucht. Ledy war, wie die meisten Hunde in der Tötung, sehr verstört und traumatisiert. Nicht selten werden gerade große Hunde brutal mit Fangschlingen eingefangen. Ledi zeigte sich auch nach ihrer Rettung sehr ablehnen und aggressiv gegenüber Menschen. Da sich dieses Verhalten nicht besserte und wir keine Hunde retten, um sie dann ihr Leben lang einzusperren, schickte Ancsa Ledy in ein Hundeinternat zur Resozialisierung. Es wurde intensiv mit ihr trainiert wurde. Sie lernte, die Nähe zu Menschen zu dulden und Schritt für Schritt, dass ihr keine Gefahr durch Menschen droht. In den ersten Tagen konnte niemand sie berühren, da Lady gleich offen aggressiv nach vorne ging und schnappte. An ein Training mit Leine war gar nicht zu denken und so setzte sich der Trainer zunächst nur zu ihr in den Zwinger. Er schaffte es, Ledys Vertrauen zu gewinnen und konnte sie händeln.
