Coco

English Bulldog Β· Female Β· Adult Β· 5 years

Coco is a calm, chilled-out girl who can be super playful when the mood strikes! She loves tennis balls and stuffed teddies. Coco has got on well with dogs; if they want to play, then she’s all game, but if they are a bit calmer and just want a walking buddy, then she knows to disengage and do her own thing. Coco is a total cuddle bug; she loves everyone she meets and will dive into their laps for a cuddle or roll around at their feet for a bum scratch. She forms strong bonds with trusted people and looks to them when she finds situations worrying. She would make a great addition to her adopter's life! Coco is a 5.5-year-old Bulldog who's a sweet, friendly girl who enjoys meeting new people and dogs. She would be happy to go to a home with another dog, following successful meets in the centre. She could also go home with small furies, birds or livestock if kept separate. Coco is suitable to live with secondary-aged children or older who will give her space and quiet time when she needs to relax. She would be happy having visitors of any age (with supervision) as she is a very friendly and affectionate girl. She loves her activity time and exploring new places but equally values her downtime.

About Coco

What life with Coco looks like

Coco is a small adult english bulldog dog waiting at Dogs Trust Harefield in Harefield.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coco, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coco?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Harefield handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coco on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coco if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Dogs Trust Harefield will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Coco already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coco isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Harefield early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coco and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
