COCO

Rhodesian Ridgeback · Male · Young · 1 year

By: CICAMPosted on July 31, 2025November 5, 2025 Name: COCO Breed: Rhodesian Sex: Male Age: 04/06/23 Date of entry to the center: 24/07/2025 This handsome fellow is COCO, a 2-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback who arrived at the animal shelter because his family could no longer take care of him. Since puppyhood, he has lived at home, so he is accustomed to living with people, knows how to behave, and has that perfect balance of energy and tenderness. COCO is a big dog, yes, but also a big-hearted giant: super affectionate, playful, and always ready to seek cuddles and attention. He loves going out, playing, being in company, and, above all, feeling like part of a family. He's the typical dog who follows you with his eyes, wags his tail, waits for you to talk to him or throw a ball. COCO needs a home where he can receive the love, time, and space he deserves. An active family that enjoys walks, adventures, and also quiet moments by his side. If you're looking for a faithful, cheerful, and very affectionate companion, COCO can be the best friend you were hoping for. Come meet him. Categories:

Ven a conocerlo. Categories: PERROS

About COCO

What life with COCO looks like

COCO is a large young adult rhodesian ridgeback dog waiting at CICAM in Spain.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting COCO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about COCO?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. CICAM handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw COCO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt COCO if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — CICAM will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is COCO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if COCO isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with CICAM early rather than rehoming privately; they know COCO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
