Cody was found as a young puppy and taken in by rescuer Timea. At first, he couldn’t walk very well. Fortunately, it turned out his paw wasn’t broken or otherwise injured. The cause was a common deficiency of calcium and vitamins. Thanks to a thorough treatment with calcium supplements, Cody fully recovered and is now growing up normally. You can clearly see the loving care and excellent nutrition he’s received from Timea. Cody has grown into a beautiful dog with a lovely, shiny coat. Cody is an exceptionally friendly and sweet dog. Cuddling is undoubtedly his favorite activity. He can’t get enough of it and loves spending as much time as possible with his caregiver. In addition, he gets along wonderfully with the other dogs at the shelter. Cody is a fun, sociable, and affectionate companion. Update April 2026: In April 2026, our volunteers visited the shelter in Romania. During this trip, they got to know Cody personally and had plenty of opportunity to experience his character up close. Cody was already eagerly waiting for us behind the bars of his kennel. As soon as it was his turn, he happily joined us for a walk. Curious, he sniffed everything he came across along the way and visibly enjoyed being outside his kennel. Moreover, he showed that he’s friendly toward other dogs and interacts with them calmly. What stood out especially was how much Cody loves to make contact. During the walk, he regularly sat down next to you for a cuddle and clearly enjoyed the attention. He also walked nicely on the leash, making the walk really enjoyable. Besides his wonderful character, Cody is also a remarkable sight. His gorgeous mottled coat, with shades of white, gray, and black, gives him a unique and striking appearance. He’s truly a dog you can’t just walk past unnoticed. After this encounter, our volunteers became even more enthusiastic about Cody. He’s a sweet, social, and curious dog who thoroughly enjoys attention and is ready for his own home where he can finally receive all the love and security he deserves. Of course, we hope that a kind adopter will soon come along to accompany Cody throughout his life. Because after his difficult start, he certainly deserves a happy life as a beloved family dog. Cody werd als jonge pup gevonden en opgevangen door rescuer Timea. Hij kon in het begin niet goed lopen. Gelukkig bleek zijn pootje niet gebroken of op een andere manier geblesseerd te zijn. De oorzaak was een veelvoorkomend tekort aan calcium en vitaminen. Dankzij een goede kuur met calcium en supplementen herstelde Cody volledig en groeit hij nu normaal verder. De liefdevolle verzorging en goede voeding die hij van Timea heeft gekregen, zie je duidelijk terug. Cody is uitgegroeid tot een prachtige hond met een mooie, glanzende vacht. Cody is een bijzonder vriendelijke en lieve hond. Knuffelen is zonder twijfel zijn favoriete bezigheid. Hij kan er geen genoeg van krijgen en brengt het liefst zoveel mogelijk tijd door bij zijn verzorgster. Daarnaast gaat hij ook heel goed samen met de andere honden in de opvang. Cody is een leuke, gezellige en aanhankelijke kameraad. Update april 2026: In april 2026 brachten onze vrijwilligers een bezoek aan de opvang in Roemenië. Tijdens deze reis hebben zij Cody persoonlijk leren kennen en was er alle gelegenheid om zijn karakter van dichtbij te ervaren. Cody stond ons al enthousiast op te wachten achter het traliewerk van zijn kennel. Zodra hij aan de beurt was, ging hij graag mee voor een wandeling. Nieuwsgierig snuffelde hij onderweg aan alles wat hij tegenkwam en genoot zichtbaar van het moment buiten de kennel. Daarnaast liet hij zien dat hij vriendelijk is naar andere honden en ontspannen met hen omgaat. Wat vooral opviel, is hoe graag Cody even contact maakt. Tijdens de wandeling kwam hij regelmatig even tegen je aan zitten voor een knuffeltje en genoot hij zichtbaar van de aandacht. Ook liep hij netjes mee aan de lijn, wat de wandeling erg prettig maakte. Naast zijn fijne karakter is Cody ook een bijzondere verschijning. Zijn prachtige gemêleerde vacht met witte, grijze en zwarte tinten geeft hem een unieke en opvallende uitstraling. Hij is echt een hond waar je niet zomaar aan voorbijloopt. Na deze ontmoeting zijn onze vrijwilligers alleen maar enthousiaster geworden over Cody. Hij is een lieve, sociale en nieuwsgierige hond die enorm geniet van aandacht en die klaar is voor een eigen thuis waar hij eindelijk alle liefde en geborgenheid krijgt die hij verdient. We hopen natuurlijk dat er snel een lieve adoptant komt die Cody door zijn verdere leven begeleidt. Want een mooi leven als geliefde huishond heeft hij zeker verdiend na zijn moeilijke start.
