Coqui &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 6 months

Coqui now lives in 31141 Hildesheim. All the best. Heartfelt thanks to Frau P. Coqui is a small mixed breed who charmed his foster family in Huelva. The playful male dog is approximately 6 months old (as of September 2025) and was literally rescued from the street. For his sister, who traveled with him, help from our friends came too late unfortunately – a car hit and killed her. Coqui came into the hands of loving people to overcome his grief, but of course also to get all the necessary vaccinations for the (hopefully) imminent trip to his permanent home. In the meantime, he is the neighborhood favorite and knows exactly how to storm into everyone's hearts and clear all pockets of any available cookies. Coqui is already a teenager and still fits comfortably on the lap and under the arm. He won't grow much more, but in the small male dog lies a big heart and a wonderful adventurer. The cute Springinsfeld is an explorer, researcher, and ambitious athlete. He loves to play and enjoys walks, although he is already advanced in his training techniques and knows that rest is part of every successful training. Coqui is a premium cuddler, who loves cozy evenings on the couch and occasionally gives wet and extremely tender kisses. Coqui has already experienced sad days, but he has left them behind to start a brand new life with flying ears. He longs for active and loving people who have plenty of time to explore and conquer the world with him.

Coqui lebt jetzt in 31141 Hildesheim. Alles Gute.

About Coqui &#8211

What life with Coqui &#8211 looks like

Coqui &#8211 is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. in Gernsbach.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coqui &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coqui &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coqui &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coqui &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Coqui &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coqui &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein ARCA e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coqui &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
