Cora

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Born from an unplanned litter, these little ones and their mother came to us after a Parvovirus case was found at the place where they were living, when they were only 3 weeks old. They were rescued and went through quarantine. Now they are looking for a family where they can keep growing healthy and happy. We hope to find a loving family for each of them, one that understands the responsibility that comes with welcoming a new member into the household. They will be available for adoption once they have received at least their first two vaccines and are over two and a half months old.

Esperamos encontrar para todos ellos una familia que los quiera y sepa la responsabilidad de supone la entrada de un nuevo miembro a la familia. Se darán en adopción cuando lleven, al menos, las dos primeras vacunas y superen dos meses y medio.

About Cora

What life with Cora looks like

Cora is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Peludines Alhama in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Peludines Alhama handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Peludines Alhama will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Cora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Peludines Alhama early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
