Coral has a wonderfully soft and gentle nature and loves being around people. She has spent time with a 4-year-old child with no issues at all, so could happily live with children of any age as long as they are dog savvy. ๐Ÿพ What is Coral like? ๐Ÿ’— A very gentle, affectionate girl who loves being close to her humans ๐Ÿถ Could be an only dog with owners who are home most of the time and can give her plenty of opportunities to see her doggy friends, or she could happily live with other dogs ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Suitable for families with dog savvy children of any age ๐Ÿฑ Absolutely fine with cats โ€“ she has shown no interest in chasing them and has even enjoyed a cuddle with the oldest cat at bedtime! ๐ŸŒณ Loves going for walks and taking in all the exciting smells along the way ๐Ÿฆฎ Walks beautifully on a harness and lead ๐Ÿ”Š Can be nervous around loud noises ๐Ÿ›‹๏ธ Enjoys relaxing on the sofa or curling up in her doggy bed downstairs ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Eats her meals happily with no food guarding issues Coral isn't particularly interested in toys just yet, but she is starting to show her playful side with the sweetest little games. She enjoys very gentle, mouthy play and will tap you with her front paws to get your attention. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’• She is still learning about toilet training and will need a patient and understanding home to continue helping her with this. She can use puppy pads and will toilet outside with encouragement, but she hasn't yet learned to ask to go out and can still have accidents indoors.

About Coral

What life with Coral looks like

Coral is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Friends of Animals Wales in United Kingdom.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window โ€” house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡งAdopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Coral, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Coral?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Friends of Animals Wales handles screening and the adoption contract directly โ€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Coral on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Coral if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad โ€” Friends of Animals Wales will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra โ‚ฌ100โ€“โ‚ฌ350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Coral already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported โ€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Coral isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work โ€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Friends of Animals Wales early rather than rehoming privately; they know Coral and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect โ€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
