adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Cuinn has found a home! His story: Quinn (the Intelligent) was able to travel to his foster home in early August. Cuinn is a ca. 4-month-old mixed-breed puppy – curious, playful, and full of energy. As befits a puppy, he loves to play, explore, and sometimes make a little silly mischief. At first, he is a bit cautious and unsure. He needs some time to get to know everything in peace. But when he realizes that he is well-meaning, he seeks out human proximity. Cuinn is playful, friendly, and learns something new every day – the world is a big adventure for him! With his silky black fur, sweet white belly, and mischievous button eyes, he is definitely a looker, that much is certain. Cuinn gets along well with other dogs. Therefore, a confident only-dog home, where he can be held by the paw, would be nice for the little one. But it is not a must. Attending a dog training class that works with positive reinforcement would be highly recommended and support the bond between the dog and his or her human. If you are ready for an adventure, accompanied by playful paws, then feel free to contact us. Cuinn is already looking forward to writing the next chapter of his fairy tale with you and will surely give you a smile every day as a thank you. Cuinn is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. He brings an EU pet passport with him and thanks you, dear Mrs. B., for giving him his wonderful name. Thanks to your namingsponsorship, the sweet little one has a chance at great happiness. Status: 29.08.

Stand: 29.08.2025

About Cuinn

What life with Cuinn looks like

Cuinn is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Cuinn, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Cuinn?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Cuinn on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Cuinn if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Cuinn already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Cuinn isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Cuinn and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
