Pepito dog shelter: Input 18 september 2026: Dabby is 11 years old and arrived at the shelter along with three other Podenca's after being given up by a hunter. Of all the dogs, she was clearly his favorite. Even after her hind leg had to be amputated, Dabby remained the best hunter, he proudly told. Now her hunting past is over and she finally deserves a life full of rest, love and warmth. Despite everything she has been through, Dabby is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog. She enjoys contact and visibly enjoys attention and soft hugs. She is also very social with other dogs.Upon arrival, Dabby had a wound on her cheek. An examination shows that this is caused by a bad tooth. Fortunately, she will be operated on soon, so she can feel completely comfortable again. Dabby also tested slightly positive for leishmania.Dabby has given her whole life for others. Now it's time for someone to choose her and let her experience what it feels like to be truly loved. Given her age and three legs, Dabby doesn't need to walk for hours anymore and would be perfect for a quiet person.

Pepito dog shelter: Input 18 september 2026: Dabby is 11 jaar oud en kwam samen met drie andere Podenca’s in het asiel terecht nadat ze waren afgestaan door een jager. Van alle honden was zij duidelijk zijn favoriet. Zelfs nadat haar achterpoot geamputeerd moest worden, bleef Dabby volgens hem de beste jager vertelde hij trots.Nu is haar jachtverleden voorbij en verdient ze eindelijk een leven vol rust, liefde en warmte. Ondanks alles wat ze heeft meegemaakt, is Dabby een ongelooflijk lieve en aanhankelijke hond. Ze zoekt graag contact en geniet zichtbaar van aandacht en zachte knuffels.Ze is ook heel sociaal met andere honden.Bij binnenkomst had Dabby een wond op haar wang. Onderzoek wijst uit dat deze wordt veroorzaakt door een slechte kies. Gelukkig zal zij hier binnenkort aan geopereerd worden, zodat ze zich weer helemaal comfortabel kan voelen. Ook testte Dabby licht positief op leishmania.Dabby heeft haar hele leven gegeven voor anderen. Nu is het tijd dat iemand voor haar kiest en haar laat ervaren hoe het voelt om echt geliefd te zijnDabby hoeft gezien haar leeftijd en drie poten geen uren meer te wandelen en zou dus ook perfect bij een rustig persoon passen.
