Daisy

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 5 years

Daisy has lost not just her home - she's lost her whole world. 💔🐾 Sometimes life plays cruelly with the hearts of those who deserve it least. Daisy had to leave her home. Not because she was unwanted. Not because she did something wrong. But because fate was stronger than love. A wonderful woman had taken Daisy and four other dogs in, giving them a safe home. Then came a neighbor's complaint. The landlord set an unrelenting ultimatum: five dogs or the apartment. A decision no one should have to make. Without financial means and with no prospect of another accommodation, she was left with no choice but to let go of her beloved dogs - with a broken heart. Four of her charges had already traveled to Germany. But for Daisy, there was no room. She had to stay behind. Today she lives in our ASIPA shelter. For many dogs, a shelter is loud and stressful. For Daisy it's a world she doesn't understand. The familiar closeness of her caregiver has disappeared. Instead, there are strangers, unfamiliar sounds and daily bustle. You can see how much she's searching for orientation. Every day she wonders why everything is suddenly different. Daisy needs no pity. She needs time. Time to arrive. Time to regain trust. Time to realize that not all people have abandoned her. We wish for Daisy people who have experience with uncertain dogs. People who don't expect anything from her, but allow her to come at her own pace. A quiet home in a rural area would be the greatest gift for her. Maybe Daisy won't run joyfully into your arms on the first day. Maybe it will take weeks or months until she opens her heart to you. But whoever gives an injured dog the time he needs, experiences something very special: The quiet emergence of trust. A bond that is not self-evident, but grows every day - and for this reason so valuable. ❤️ 🐾 Daisy overview: 📅 Born: approx. 2020 📏 Shoulder height: approx. 50 cm ⚖️ Weight: approx. 18 kg Daisy is not looking for a perfect person. She's looking for her person. Maybe you are exactly the person who shows her that there can be a new beginning after every farewell. 🍀

About Daisy

What life with Daisy looks like

Daisy is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daisy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daisy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daisy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daisy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daisy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daisy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daisy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
