Adopt Dalma

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 9 months

💔🐾 Dalma is seeking her happiness 🐾💔 In February 2026, Dalma's story began – a story that happens far too often in secret. She was hunted by dog catchers, full of fear, left alone… No one knows what she experienced before. But on that day, she had a stroke of luck – she was seen. And saved. ❤️ Since then, so much has changed. Dalma was able to arrive, find peace, and for the first time, experience what security feels like. She was lovingly cared for, fully vaccinated, and sterilized – ready for a new life. In our foster home at ASIPA in Romania, everything is done for her. Dalma was born around mid-2025 and weighs approximately 12.4 kg. And despite everything she has experienced, she has kept her big heart. She is incredibly loving, gentle, and full of hope for her people. 🐶💛 Now, all she needs is a home that will welcome her forever. People who will show her that she never has to be afraid again. Who will give her time, help her grow trust further, and love her – as she deserves. Yes, we know… it’s not easy. But every life counts. And Dalma has more than earned her chance. ✨ Please help Dalma find her family. Share her story or open your heart to this special soul. Because sometimes, all it takes is one person to change everything. ❤️🐾 Dalma is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. If you would like to give Dalma a loving home, we are very grateful for your message. Applicants from the Nuremberg area / Middle Franconia are preferred.

About Dalma

What life with Dalma looks like

Dalma is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dalma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dalma?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dalma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dalma if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dalma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dalma isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Förderverein Tiernothilfe Siebenbürgen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dalma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
