Damiano arrived at the shelter following an intervention by the Police department. His former owners, overwhelmed by the situation, chose to give him up so he could have a new chance in an environment more suited to his needs. Damiano is a young Labrador mix just one year old, overflowing with energy and goodwill. He is a very kind, affectionate dog who enjoys human contact. He loves cuddles, seeks out contact, and greatly appreciates moments of complicity with the people who care for him. Very playful, he will need to be able to expend his energy both physically and mentally. Like many young dogs, Damiano is also quite nervous, and his enthusiasm can sometimes make him a bit rough. He will need to learn to channel his emotions and gain calm through supportive guidance. In terms of training, everything needs to be built from scratch. Damiano has received no foundation training and therefore must learn everything: walking on a leash, house rules, daily learning... His future family must be prepared to invest time, patience, and consistency in order to offer him the reference points he has always lacked. Regarding his relationships with other dogs, cohabitation is possible, but meetings will need to be made at the shelter in order to assess compatibility on a case-by-case basis.

Damiano est arrivé au refuge suite à une intervention des services de Police. Ses anciens propriétaires, dépassés par la situation, ont fait le choix de nous le céder afin qu’il puisse avoir une nouvelle chance dans un environnement plus adapté à ses besoins. Damiano est un jeune croisé Labrador d’à peine un an, débordant d’énergie et de bonne volonté. C’est un chien très gentil, affectueux et proche de l’humain. Il adore les caresses, recherche volontiers le contact et apprécie énormément les moments de complicité avec les personnes qui s’occupent de lui. Très joueur, il aura besoin de pouvoir se dépenser aussi bien physiquement que mentalement. Comme beaucoup de jeunes chiens, Damiano est également assez nerveux et son enthousiasme peut parfois le rendre un peu brusque. Il aura besoin d’apprendre à canaliser ses émotions et à gagner en calme grâce à un accompagnement bienveillant. Côté éducation, tout est à construire. Damiano n’a reçu aucune base et devra donc tout apprendre : la marche en laisse, les règles de vie en maison, les apprentissages du quotidien… Sa future famille devra être prête à investir du temps, de la patience et de la cohérence afin de lui offrir les repères dont il a toujours manqué. Concernant ses relations avec les autres chiens, une cohabitation est envisageable, mais les rencontres devront être réalisées au refuge afin d’évaluer les compatibilités au cas par cas.
