adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Also Daria has found her home! Daria can travel to her foster home in early February! Her story: Cluj, Romania. Daria, Midas, and Trish – three wonderful siblings look hopefully to the future! They were given to us by Bologa after a spay/neuter campaign. The mother was spayed and returned to the care of her owners. Now they have the chance for a happy dog life! Daria has a charming appearance and with her just over 5 months, she has her whole life ahead of her. She is expected to reach a medium size when fully grown and shows herself as a friendly and people-oriented female dog. A piece is missing from her ear – at first glance hardly noticeable, but it could prevent her from entering Switzerland. Daria is looking for people who don’t expect anything from her at first and show her how a normal dog life works. She is still a baby and has a lot to learn. Sometimes a mishap shouldn’t be held against her and Daria should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. She is looking forward to her new life with beautiful nature walks, many snuggling hours, and also a visit to puppy school. In the first year of life, puppies should be as little alone as possible. Additionally, the more demanding pubertal phase is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the lives of the little rascals upside down. They “forget” often everything they have learned so far and their ears are on full alert. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to consistently – but lovingly – train. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Daria is already on packed suitcases and can travel to her home microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. She brings her EU pet passport with her and can travel to a new home after a positive assessment. She would also be very happy with a foster home. Will you give Daria her own home? Many thanks Pascale S.! You named Daria! Date: 15.09.

Vielen Dank Pascale S.! Du hast Daria ihren Namen geschenkt! Stand: 15.09.2023

About Daria

What life with Daria looks like

Daria is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Daria, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Daria?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Daria on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Daria if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Daria already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Daria isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Daria and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
