Hi there—yes, exactly—you! You’ve been looking at my photo so lovingly, so I’d better introduce myself right away: My name is Davina, I’m just over a year old, and I have gorgeous, soft black-and-white fur. Can you imagine? I was found all alone outside, and not a single person missed me. That was really mean. Meow! Well, I’ve stayed true to myself anyway and quickly adapted to this new situation. Everyone here is so kind to me—I simply can’t help but be sweet in return. And cuddly! And very much in need of snuggles. Meow! Somehow, I’ve wrapped everyone around my little paws, simply because I have such a friendly nature—not because my folded ears make me especially adorable… Truth be told, I shouldn’t even exist—the breeding of Scottish Fold cats is actually banned in Germany because nearly all of us suffer from an inherited bone and cartilage disease (OCD). Luckily, I’m still perfectly healthy and feel wonderfully comfortable in my elegant coat. Meow! And now I’ve been here long enough—I’d really love to move into a proper forever home. I’d be very happy in a nice apartment and don’t need outdoor access. However, a balcony is absolutely essential for me, and I’m sure I’d get along great with older, gentle children. Meow!

Huhu, ja – genau – Sie meine ich! Sie gucken mein Foto schon so liebevoll an und deshalb stelle ich mich besser gleich einmal vor: Ich heiße Davina, bin etwas über ein Jahr jung und habe wunderschön-weiches, schwarz-weißes Fell. Stellen Sie sich vor, ich wurde draußen ganz allein gefunden und keine Menschenseele hat mich vermisst. Das war echt gemein. Miau! Nun denn, ich bin mir trotzdem treu geblieben und habe mich schnell mit der neuen Situation arrangiert. Denn hier sind alle so lieb zu mir – da kann ich gar nicht anderes, als auch lieb zu sein. Und verschmust! Und kuschelbedürftig. Miau! Irgendwie habe ich alle um meine Pfötchen gewickelt, weil ich einfach so ein freundliches Wesen bin – und nicht, weil ich mit meinen geknickten Ohren ganz besonders niedlich aussehe… Eigentlich dürfte es mich auch gar nicht geben – die Zucht von Faltohrkatzen ist in Deutschland nämlich verboten, da wir Scottish Fold Katzen fast alle an einer vererbten Knochen- und Knorpelkrankheit leiden (OCD). Bei mir ist zum Glück noch alles gut und ich fühle mich sehr wohl in meinem eleganten Pelz. Miau! Und jetzt bin ich auch schon lange genug hier und möchte gerne in ein richtiges für-immer-Zuhause ziehen. Ich bin auch mit einer schönen Wohnung sehr zufrieden und brauche keinen Freigang. Auf einen Balkon allerdings lege ich größten Wert, größere, liebe Kinder gefallen mir bestimmt auch. Miau!
