Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 7 years

Lux vom Doberberg is looking for a new home. Lux vom Doberberg is a 7-year-old, unneutered German Wachtelhund who, due to a move, now sadly seeks a new home. As a typical representative of his breed, Lux brings with him a pronounced hunting passion. He has a very good nose, works happily, and shows great joy in the hunting-related mental stimulation. Especially enthusiastic about working in and around water, he also carries things very willingly and reliably. Although he has not yet undergone a hunting test, his dispositions and his eagerness to work are clearly recognizable. So far, Lux has only known kennel life. Therefore, we are looking for people with dog experience and ideally hunting dog experience who understand his needs and can offer him sufficient mental stimulation, exercise, and affection. With patience and the necessary time, he will surely also adapt to new living conditions. At 7 years old, Lux is in his best age: experienced, capable, and full of drive. He is an honest working dog looking for a task and people where he can find a lasting home. For those who would like to give a passionate Wachtelhund a new perspective, feel free to contact us. Lux is looking forward to getting to know his new people. For more information: Jagdhunde in Not.

Frequently asked

Adopting Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jagdhunde in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „ on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „ if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jagdhunde in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „ already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „ isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jagdhunde in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Deutscher Wachtelhund „Lux vom Doberberg „ and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
