Dharma was found in the fields of the periphery of Madrid in November 2025. She had several strongly inflamed wounds and could not use her forebone. X-rays revealed that Dharma had been shot. Her elbow joint was devastated so that Dharma had to be operated after a few days of stabilization. The operation was very difficult, the joint was plated and stiffened, but it was not clear for a long time whether Dharma's leg would not have to be amputated. Meanwhile, the joint is cured, but Dharma is still physically severely restricted and has pain in the back due to the permanent misload. Interested people must therefore realise that Dharma needs good veterinary and physiotherapeutic care for her life including adapted pain therapy. In the shelter Dharma is allowed to live in the dog group of our Marta, where it shows itself as a very gentle and restrained female. Dharma is a young female, she bounces and jumps as part of her possibilities and also beyond what her health naturally does not care. Here their people are asked to find the right mix for this charming and worn female between physical stress and rest periods for regeneration. Regularly adapted physiotherapy, targeted muscle build-up, paying attention to their ideal weight and adapted movement will definitely extend Dharma's lifetime. But it is not just about the quantity, but also about the quality of the days. That is why we hope that Dharma will get the chance of a loving home, where she and her needs are at the heart and she may feel loved and respected. (mit Video) Dharma wurde im November 2025 schwerverletzt und fiebernd in den Feldern der Peripherie von Madrid gefunden. Sie hatte mehrere stark entzündete Wunden und konnte ihr Vorderbein nicht benutzen. Röntgenbilder offenbarten, dass auf Dharma geschossen worden war. Dabei wurde ihr Ellenbogengelenk verheerend zertrümmert, so dass Dharma nach einigen Tage der Stabilisierung operiert werden musste. Die Operation war sehr schwierig, das Gelenk wurde verplattet und damit versteift, doch es war lange Zeit nicht klar, ob Dharmas Bein nicht doch noch amputiert werden müsste. Mittlerweile ist das Gelenk zwar verheilt, doch Dharma ist weiterhin körperlich stark eingeschränkt und hat durch die dauerhafte Fehlbelastung Schmerzen im Rücken. Interessenten müssen sich also bewußt machen, dass Dharma ihr Leben lang eine gute tierärztliche und physiotherapeutische Betreuung benötigt inkl. angepasster Schmerztherapie. Im Tierheim darf Dharma in der Hundegruppe unserer Marta leben, wo sie sich als sehr sanfte und zurückhaltende Hündin zeigt. Dharma ist eine junge Hündin, sie hüpft und springt im Rahmen ihrer Möglichkeiten und auch mal darüber hinaus, was ihr gesundheitlich natürlich nicht guttut. Hier sind ihre Menschen gefragt, die richtige Mischung für diese bezaubernde und verschmuste Hündin zu finden zwischen körperlicher Belastung und Ruhephasen zur Regeneration. Regelmäßige angepasste Physiotherapie, gezielter Muskelaufbau, das Achten auf ihr Idealgewicht und angepasste Bewegung werden Dharmas Lebenszeit definitiv verlängern. Doch es geht ja nicht nur um die Quantität, sondern auch um die Qualität der Tage. Deshalb hoffen wir, dass Dharma die Chance auf ein liebevolles Zuhause bekommt, wo sie und ihre Bedürfnisse im Mittelpunkt stehen und sie sich geliebt und beachtet fühlen darf.
