Diablo

Mixed Breed · Male

Diablo was found between Törökszentmiklós and Kengyel and brought to our partner shelter. Unfortunately, nothing is known about his past. Although his name might sound somber, he is a truly loving, lively, and curious young dog full of joy. With his alert, sparkling eyes and his tireless explorer’s spirit, he has captured the hearts of our Hungarian colleagues with a storm. Diablo is a true adventurer. He explores his surroundings with great interest and demands attention when he comes across something exciting. However, he is not a constant barker but a friendly little furball that simply wants to be with you all the time. With loving and consistent training and a patient hand, he will surely develop and prove his abilities. Adopting Diablo means gaining a loyal and lively companion who will enrich the lives of his new family with his cheerful nature. Diablo is looking forward to discovering the world by your side and becoming a true friend for life. Children living in the household should already be 10 years or older and be well-behaved. Glück für Pfoten e.V. – The Path to a New Life – Tel. and Mail: including safety harness. As we are working, we might not be able to respond to you immediately. It is best to contact the above mentioned mediator initially in writing (by email or WhatsApp) and ask for a callback (don’t forget to mention your phone number). Please be patient! Our shelter animals travel with Traces and are rehomed exclusively in Germany (nationwide). If you are applying for a dog and live in a rental property, please arrange a written landlord’s statement confirming that the housing of (another or a new) dog is permitted. We can only place dogs in homes where a lift is not required to prevent any health limitations.

About Diablo

What life with Diablo looks like

Diablo is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Glück für Pfoten e.V. in Dortmund.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Diablo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diablo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Glück für Pfoten e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diablo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diablo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Glück für Pfoten e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diablo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diablo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Glück für Pfoten e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diablo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
