Adopt Dianne

Dachshund · Female · Adult · 4 years

06-06-26 Dianne has come to us from a breeder and is now searching for her very own forever home. She is an absolutely adorable little girl with a wonderfully happy-go-lucky nature and has quickly become a firm favourite with everyone she meets. She is a real pocket rocket who brings so much fun and joy wherever she goes. She absolutely adores human company and thrives on affection, happily soaking up all the fuss she can get. She loves giving kisses and being cuddled and we think she is going to make someone a truly wonderful little companion. Dianne would love a home filled with love, kindness and companionship. Ideally, she is looking for adopters who are around for much of the day, as she enjoys spending time with her people and will relish being someone's special girl. She could happily live as an only dog provided her adopters have plenty of time to devote to her, but she could also share her home with another kind and friendly resident dog. We would consider homing her with dog savvy older children. She has never lived in a home before, so her new family will need to be patient and understanding as she learns all about home life and important skills such as house training. She has already learned about walking on a lead and harness and has embraced this wonderfully. She enjoys getting out and about and will love exploring the world and making new memories with her forever family. Dianne is a delightful, affectionate and cheerful little girl who has so much love to give. She is now ready to leave her past behind and begin the next chapter of her life with a family who will cherish her. She arrived with us a little overweight, but with a good diet and gentle exercise, she should soon start to shed the excess. She has been treated for conjunctivitis. Dianne has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Dianne

What life with Dianne looks like

Dianne is a adult dachshund dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dianne, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dianne?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dianne on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dianne if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dianne already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dianne isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dianne and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
