Generalities: a beautiful kitten with a soft white and red coat. Beautiful yellow-green eyes. Tested negative for FIV-FeLV, vaccinated (including against FeLV), and microchipped. Character: Dimitri is a friendly cat with good body language, who greatly appreciates human company but also values freedom and independence. This does not mean he has difficulty forming emotional bonds with people. On the contrary, he spontaneously seeks human company, caresses, and attention, but - of course - this does not automatically give us the right to "pick him up" or take him in our arms if he is not agreeable! As mentioned above, Dimitri also has a developed sense of autonomy and a strong desire for freedom. At the Monza cat shelter, he is housed in the small fenced garden of the cat shelter area, well equipped with a house, toys, various plants, and a beautiful tree, which he uses fully. He loves being outdoors and climbing the tree. For this reason, we are looking for a setting with a garden or similar and an owner or family that understands and appreciates his personality and needs. With all the cats with which he has shared this space, he has gotten along, maybe becoming good friends, but they have shared the spaces without jealousy or aggression. Ideal adoption: Dimitri can be defined as "a cat for many but not for all." We are therefore looking for someone who appreciates all aspects of his character and who will respect his space and timing. A garden setting for exploring and patrolling is essential (after a period strictly indoors to acquire reference points). Better not children too young to ensure a calm and reassuring environment; in the case of another cat already present, the opportunity of integration can be considered. In the cat shelter, we noticed that he seems to get along with dogs: when he sees them (on a leash, brought by the dog shelter volunteers), he approaches from the other side of the secure fencing, curious and never scared. For this reason, it could also be considered to integrate with a calm dog already accustomed to living with felines. Generalità: bellissimo micione dal morbido mantello bianco e rosso. Splendidi occhi gialli-verdi. Testato FIV-FeLV negativo, vaccinato (anche contro la FeLV), e microchippato. . Carattere: Dimitri è un micio simpatico, con una buona comunicazione corporea, che apprezza molto la compagnia umana ma che dà grande importanza anche alla libertà e all’indipendenza. Ciò NON vuol dire che fa fatica a formare rapporti affettivi con le persone. Anzi, cerca spontaneamente la compagnia umana, le coccole e le attenzioni ma – ben inteso – questo non ci dà il diritto automatico di “spupazzarlo” o prenderlo in braccio se non è d’accordo lui! Come detto sopra, Dimitri possiede anche uno sviluppato senso di autonomia e una grande voglia di libertà. Al Gattile di Monza è ospitato nel piccolo giardino recintato del settore gattile rifugio, ben attrezzato con casetta, giochi, e piante varie e un bell’albero, che sfrutta pienamente. Adora stare all’aria aperta e arrampicarsi sull’albero. Per questo cerchiamo per lui un contesto con giardino o simile e un proprietario o una famiglia che capisce e apprezza la sua personalità e le sue esigenze. Con tutti i gatti con i quali ha condiviso questo spazio è andato d’accordo, magari sono diventati grandi amici ma hanno condiviso gli spazi senza gelosie o aggressività. . Adozione ideale: Dimitri si può definire “un micio per tanti ma non per tutti”. Cerchiamo infatti per lui chi apprezza tutti gli aspetti del suo carattere, e che rispetterà i suoi spazi e tempi. Fondamentale un contesto con giardino da esplorare e pattugliare (dopo un periodo tassativamente in casa per acquisire i punti di riferimento). Meglio no bambini piccoli per assicurare un ambiente tranquillo e rassicurante; nel caso di un altro gatto già presente, si può valutare l’opportunità dell’inserimento. In gattile abbiamo notato che sembra andare d’accordo con i cani: quando li vede (al guinzaglio, portati dai volontari del canile), si avvicina dall’altra parte della recinzione, curioso e mai spaventato. Per questo motivo si potrebbe anche prendere in considerazione l’inserimento con un cane tranquillo, già abituato alla convivenza con i felini.
