Dina

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 8 months

Our lovely Dina is looking for her people. Thank you to our loving sponsor Miriam. Here's a glimpse of how much patience, love and understanding can achieve. When she arrived with her brother (secured from a main street with a life trap), she just sat in the corner and was scared. But over time it got better and now she is looking for loving, patient people who will give her a wonderful dog's life. She is friendly, gentle and simply adorable. She gets along great with other dogs and it would be fantastic if there were already a canine companion waiting for her. The beautiful little girl is about 8 months old, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and medium-sized. Now we want to give this wonderful dog the start of her new life and are looking for loving people who would like to take on a unique sponsorship. Every contribution helps secure her care and medical treatment. Request information about Dina

About Dina

What life with Dina looks like

Dina is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ankerhunde e.V. in Novi Grad.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇧🇦Adopting from Bosnia and Herzegovina

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ankerhunde e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ankerhunde e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ankerhunde e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
