IMPORTANT: We pay for our branch dogs to be cared for at RSPCA Lancs East animal centre. The staff will deal with all dog enquiries on our behalf, you can find an application form here. If you need to speak with the team, please call Dior is a lovely, active Frenchie who is now looking for her forever home. She has recently had her operation for her cherry eye and is recuperating very well. Dior has very high energy levels, she loves her food enrichment games and likes to say hello to people when out on walks. However, Dior can be a little full-on when meeting people she doesn't know and thinks they are always going to give her a treat! Dior will be best suited to a home where any children are over 12 years old. She can be quite reactive to quick movement, whether this is horses, dogs, and bicycles. She is receiving training to help minimise this behaviour and it’s something the potential adopters will need to continue with in the home. Dior will also need to be the only pet in her new home. You can read the lovely comments sent to us from her dog walker below. ‘Dior is so cute on a walk. She sits and watches the birds. We also saw some deer with their babies sitting near them, and Dior was peeping over the wall, absolutely mesmerised watching what was going on. Dior takes her sniffing very seriously. She doesn't tend to keep stopping; it's more of a long, continuous sniff the whole walk. Grassy areas, walking past trees or bushes, she is always switched on, relaxed, and very focused. She also doesn't mind muddy fields or walking straight through a puddle even when she could easily walk around, which has me chuckling. She is good on the lead, enjoying sniffing rather than pulling. If anyone is looking for a companion for walks and rambling, then she is definitely the girl for you. She is a little diamond.’

About DIOR

What life with DIOR looks like

DIOR is a adult french bulldog dog waiting at RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting DIOR, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about DIOR?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw DIOR on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt DIOR if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is DIOR already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if DIOR isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know DIOR and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
