Adopt ZIVA

Mixed Breed Cat · Unknown · Young · 1 year

Important: when you email our branch, you should receive an instant auto reply which acknowledges receipt of your email. If you don’t receive the auto reply, please check your junk or spam folders for our emails. Ziva is a young girl, aged 12 months old, who was sadly an abandonment case and has spent most of her young life in foster care. She is energetic, inquisitive, and loves to explore. Once she’s settled in her new home, she will definitely want access to the outdoors, so she’s looking for a home in a safe area that’s away from busy roads where she can safely enjoy some adventures. Ziva would need an adult-only home and needs to be an only pet too. After such a bad start to her early life, Ziva really needs someone to show her what a loving, forever home truly feels like. Could that person be you?

About ZIVA

What life with ZIVA looks like

ZIVA is a young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting ZIVA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ZIVA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ZIVA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ZIVA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ZIVA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ZIVA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Craven and Upper Wharfedale Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know ZIVA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
