Diva

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 10 years

Meet Diva ❤️ This lovely little lady is around 9–10 years old and is the gentlest of souls. Diva asks for very little in life – she’s happiest being cuddled close and enjoying the comfort of your arms. She’s just beginning to learn how to walk on a lead and is taking everything in her stride. Sadly, Diva was found dumped, and despite every effort, no one came forward to claim her. It’s clear she’s spent much of her life being used for breeding, but that hasn’t taken away her sweet, quiet nature. Now it’s Diva’s turn to know what it feels like to be truly loved. She deserves a calm, caring home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and all the love she’s missed out on. If you think you could offer this precious little girl the forever home she deserves, we’d love to hear from you. ❤️

About Diva

What life with Diva looks like

Diva is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Almost Home Animal Rescue NI in Belfast.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Diva, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Diva?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Animal Rescue NI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Diva on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Diva if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Animal Rescue NI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Diva already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Diva isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Animal Rescue NI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Diva and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
