Don új

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Don is 2 and a half years old, an entire mixed breed male dog. He has a good nature, is affectionate and shy, and still loves to play, especially with other dogs, but also likes cats. (reserved towards unfamiliar animals and people, timid). Good watchdog, alert dog. Nothing escapes his attention, he is everywhere, watching everything. Sometimes he pretends to be the boss, but soon gives in to the stronger one. He likes to have his belly rubbed, but isn't picky. So far he lived in a garden, he doesn't like to be in an apartment, behaving like an elephant in a porcelain shop. He needs company, I definitely recommend putting him together with another animal. He is like a raccoon, able to climb anywhere, jump up, his favorite place is the terrace table. Medium-sized, about 50 cm tall, in good condition. For inquiries: 06-30-44-218-44, 70-270-8600.

Igényli a társaságot, mindenképpen valamilyen másik állat mellé ajánlom. Olyan, mint a zerge, képes bárhová felmászni, felugrani, kedvenc helye a terasz-asztal. Közepes termetű, kb 50 cm magas, jó húsban van. Érdeklődni: 06-30-44-218-44, 70-270-8600

About Don új

What life with Don új looks like

Don új is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Kéz a Mancsért in Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Don új, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Don új?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Kéz a Mancsért handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Don új on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Don új if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Kéz a Mancsért will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Don új already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Don új isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Kéz a Mancsért early rather than rehoming privately; they know Don új and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
