Dragi

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Dragi 🐶❤️ Dragi is a lovely fluffy boy who may be a little shy at first. But give him some time and you'll discover a very fun dog with a few very clear hobbies. 🥹🐾 Eating is absolutely high on his list. 😂🍗 Dragi likes everything and is easily persuaded with yummy food. He has a beautiful, full coat — although he recently had a fresh trim. ✂️ He walks nicely on a leash, loves toys and enjoys going for walks. 🧸🐾 And then Dragi has something that makes him really unique... He apparently never quite understood how to bark. 😂 Instead, he makes a very funny, odd squeaking sound. A kind of own Dragi language. 🥹❤️ A little shy, very fluffy and with a personality you won't soon forget. Dragi is just Dragi. 🐶❤️ His story ❤️‍🩹 Dragi and Lejdi came to us with the idea that they would stay temporarily (With one of our volunteers) After more than a year we heard nothing from their owner. When we contacted them ourselves, we finally only got the short message that we had to find a home for them. Since then they have been waiting with us for someone who will choose them for the long term. 🐾 For more information send us a message here or for direct answer via messenger on fb!

Dragi is gewoon Dragi.

About Dragi

What life with Dragi looks like

Dragi is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hope for Dogs Europe in Amersfoort/Vlissingen (NL-wide).

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dragi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dragi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hope for Dogs Europe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dragi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dragi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hope for Dogs Europe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Dragi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dragi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hope for Dogs Europe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dragi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
