Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens )

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

Dragosch this breed born around 2018, neutered. First and foremost: As a Staffordshire Terrier, Dragosch is subject to the regulations of the state dog law in many federal states. We would be happy to provide more information on this. Dragosch came to us as a seizure. Now he can finally start looking for a home. This compact male dog is a Terrier through and through. He is funny, a bit cheeky, and if you let him, he loves to play up. He likes people, responds well to his name, and is certainly also compatible with selected female and male dogs. Of course, we would need to test this on a case-by-case basis. With us, he is a popular walk partner, even if he doesn't always stay right by your side when on a short leash. We don't want to hide his resource-guarding tendencies. As a true Terrier, he likes to claim his things for himself! If you let him, he will naturally decide what belongs to him. He loves sticks and is very reluctant to give them back. Dragosch is not familiar with children, and we do not want to place him in a home with children (dog-savvy teenagers from about 16 years old should not be a problem). Also, there should be no cats or small animals in the new home. We envision Dragosch with breed-experienced people who can clearly and fairly explain the rules of cohabitation to him. He is truly a lovely and fun guy, and the right people will enjoy him. If you are seriously interested in our Dragosch, please get in touch with us! We will then arrange a first meeting to get to know each other.

About Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens )

What life with Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) looks like

Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Listenhunde Nothilfe in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens )?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Listenhunde Nothilfe handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Listenhunde Nothilfe will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Listenhunde Nothilfe early rather than rehoming privately; they know Dragosch ( Tierheim Pirmasens ) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
