Duncan - gentle young male dog is looking for a home Duncan was surrendered to our partner animal shelter along with his brother Davey. The two are greatly impressed and intimidated by the new situation and now have to get used to their fate. The more sensitive a dog is, the more it naturally suffers from the conditions of a large animal shelter where each dog is just one among many. Everyone wants to be seen, everyone wants to leave, but many also spend an undeserved long time there. We hope that people will soon be found who take care of Duncan. Whether it's a forever home or just a foster home as a start into the next phase of life, Duncan is happy with both. Only a year old, he certainly doesn't deserve to waste away behind bars. He will probably have to learn a lot and his new people should give him the time he needs to come along at his own pace. Patience, love, understanding, and secure guidance and instruction are the ingredients for a successful outcome. It is not magic to turn a rescue dog into a wonderful four-legged companion for life if you give him the time to build trust. The pointer has a friendly and balanced character, he is gentle and loyal and becomes very attached to his person. Pointer Mischling Duncan – sanfter junger Rüde sucht ein Zuhause Duncan wurde zusammen mit seinem Bruder Davey in unserem Partnertierheim abgegeben. Die beiden sind mächtig beeindruckt und verschüchtert von der neuen Situation und müssen sich nun erst einmal in ihr Schicksal einfinden. Je sensibler ein Hund ist, desto mehr leidet er natürlich unter den Gegebenheiten eines großen Tierheims, in dem jeder Hund nur einer unter vielen ist. Alle wollen gesehen werden, alle wollen dort heraus, aber viele verbringen dort auch unverdient eine lange Zeit. Wir hoffen für Duncan, dass sich bald Menschen finden, die sich seiner annehmen. Ob es ein Zuhause für immer ist oder auch erst einmal eine Pflegestelle als Start in den nächsten Lebensabschnitt, Duncan ist mit beidem glücklich. Gerade einmal ein Jahr alt, hat er es wirklich nicht verdient, hinter Gittern zu versauern. Wahrscheinlich wird er vieles noch lernen müssen und seine neuen Menschen sollten ihm die Zeit geben, die er braucht, um in seinem Tempo anzukommen. Geduld, Liebe, Verständnis und sichere Führung und Anleitung – das sind die Zutaten für ein gutes Gelingen. Es ist kein Hexenwerk, einen Tierschutzhund zu einem wunderbaren vierbeinigen Begleiter fürs Leben zu machen, wenn man ihm die Zeit gibt, Vertrauen aufzubauen. Dem Pointer ist ein freundlicher und ausgeglichener Charakter zu eigen, er ist sanft und loyal und bindet sich sehr an seinen Menschen.
