Eddie

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Eddie is a gorgeous three-year-old boy with the softest fur and a wonderfully playful, loving personality. He is still very kitten-like and has lots of energy, so he would love a home where there is plenty of opportunity for play, attention and adventure. He absolutely loves being stroked and fussed over and is a very chilled, affectionate little character. Eddie also has a cheeky way of letting you know when dinner is overdue – he may come and give your feet a gentle nibble as a reminder!Eddie enjoys spending time outdoors and is a keen hunter, so his future family should be prepared for the occasional mouse-shaped present. He could potentially live with dogs, children and other cats, provided any feline companions are similarly playful and happy to keep up with his energy levels. He would not be the best match for an older or very laid-back cat who simply wants a peaceful retirement. His owners are devastated to be parting with Eddie, and want to find him someone who will adore his playful, affectionate nature as much as they do.Eddie is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. If you would like to register your interest in Eddie please get in touch by email: - telling us about yourself, family and working hours and giving us your full address including postcode.

About Eddie

What life with Eddie looks like

Eddie is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Cheshire Cats Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Eddie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Eddie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Cheshire Cats Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Eddie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Eddie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Cheshire Cats Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Eddie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Eddie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Cheshire Cats Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Eddie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
