EDEN

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Estimated birth date: December 2023 Brief info: cheerful, lively, athletic, playful, cuddly, people-oriented, intelligent, eager to learn, family-friendly, older children-friendly, male dogs-friendly, female dogs-friendly, cats-friendly EDEN was born in December 2023 and was discovered alone on the street by a kind passerby in December 2025 and brought to the animal shelter. She had no chip, and no one was looking for her at the shelter. One cannot understand why, as the lovely female dog is very friendly, people-oriented, and cuddly. On the leash, she already runs well, is very attentive, and wants to please. EDEN is athletic, clever, and eager to learn – simply a wonderful young pup with great potential! She gets along well with her fellow animals and loves to run around with them. However, the test cat was a bit scary for her, and she did not want much contact. She could, however, be accustomed to living with indoor cats with time and patience. For the sweet EDEN, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about having a young pup and are willing to take on the adventure of "young pup" – with everything that comes with it: playing, snuggling, running around, but of course also a consistent and loving upbringing with the necessary physical and mental stimulation, so that she continues to develop into a great and pleasant travel companion. We suspect a portion of Kelpie or something similar in her, so experience with herding dogs would be an advantage. Since EDEN is "neutered" and has a docked tail, she unfortunately cannot be rehomed to Switzerland. EDEN travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and with an EU pet passport to her new home. Would you like to give this enchanting little pup a loving and safe home? We look forward to your message!. This is a young, adolescent dog.

About EDEN

What life with EDEN looks like

EDEN is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenretter Ungarn in Pfotenretter.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting EDEN, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about EDEN?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenretter Ungarn handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw EDEN on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt EDEN if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenretter Ungarn will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is EDEN already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if EDEN isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenretter Ungarn early rather than rehoming privately; they know EDEN and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
