EDI

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Adoption is already our little hero – EDI 🐶❤️ The one whose treatment so many of you contributed to. Thanks to you, a miracle happened. EDI had surgery and... won his most important battle. 💪🏼 Today he slowly starts looking for his place on earth – a home that will love him forever. His story wasn't easy. He started life in the cold, fear, and uncertainty. Later came a difficult diagnosis and a fight for each day. But EDI didn't give up. And today he is here with us – wonderful, full of energy, curious about the world, and ready to finally just be a happy dog. We are looking for a special home for him. One that will love him not only for his charm, but also with full awareness of his needs. EDI, despite the successful surgery, must: ✨ be on a strict, constant diet ✨ have regular blood tests and liver function tests ✨ be under the care of a caregiver who will be attentive and responsible This is not a dog "for a moment" or one that can eat anything. But it is a dog that will give something invaluable in return. Because EDI loves with all his heart. ❤️ He is joyful, thirsty for closeness and contact with a person. He has a lot of life and even more love that he wants to give to someone. Because EDI deserves everything best. A calm, safe life. His person. His couch. His family.

Do adopcji jest już nasz mały bohater – Edi 🐶❤️ Ten, na którego leczenie tak wielu z Was dołożyło swoją cegiełkę. Dzięki Wam wydarzył się cud. Edi przeszedł operację i… wygrał swoją najważniejszą walkę. 💪🏼 Dziś powoli zaczyna rozglądać się za swoim miejscem na ziemi – za domem, który pokocha go na zawsze. Jego historia nie była łatwa. Zaczynał życie w zimnie, strachu i niepewności. Później przyszła trudna diagnoza i walka o każdy dzień.

About EDI

What life with EDI looks like

EDI is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting EDI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about EDI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw EDI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt EDI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is EDI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if EDI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know EDI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
