Edle Prinzessin Zarah

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Female dog, born ca. 01/2025, approximately 45 to 50 cm tall, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for Babesiose, Borreliose, Ehrlichiose, Anaplasmose, Dirofilarien and Leishmaniasis Prior to travel arrangements, Edle Prinzessin ZarahThe noble Zarah was discovered early one morning in front of the city gates of our shelter by one of our rescuers. She was likely abandoned there overnight. An employee fed Zarah and thus gained her trust. He then took her into the Shelter. She was neutered, vaccinated, and given the name Zarah, which means Noble Princess or The Radiant, all of which were deemed fitting for the loving and beautiful dog. Zarah now lives at the Shelter. For the photo shoot, Zarah went onto the outdoor area for the first time, which clearly pleased her. Full of joy, she ran excitedly back and forth and even made little playful sprints. When her caregiver called her, she responded immediately. She then laid down on her back, offered her belly for petting, and "laughed." During this, she was relatively relaxed. Less relaxed did she appear with the leash; she did not like it and lay down, refusing to walk further. But Zarah is an open-minded dog, who with the appropriate time and patience available on-site will also learn to walk on a leash. Zarah is person-oriented and gets along well with her fellow animals at the Shelter. She shows herself friendly and social. Besides learning to walk on a leash, Zarah naturally has to master some basic dog training. Who would like to teach her and be rewarded with Zarah's trust and love? We are looking for a sensitive, loving, and preferably active home with direct garden access for our princess. A foster home would also be lovely. Zarah is still in Romania.

About Edle Prinzessin Zarah

What life with Edle Prinzessin Zarah looks like

Edle Prinzessin Zarah is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SOS-Strassentiere e.V. in Berlin-Köpenick.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Edle Prinzessin Zarah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Edle Prinzessin Zarah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS-Strassentiere e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Edle Prinzessin Zarah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Edle Prinzessin Zarah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS-Strassentiere e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Edle Prinzessin Zarah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Edle Prinzessin Zarah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS-Strassentiere e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Edle Prinzessin Zarah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
