Edwardo

Male Β· Young Β· 2 years

Meet Edwardo! This spooktacular boy is looking for his new home in time for Halloween to snuggle up on the sofa for movie nights. He can be shy initially but quickly warms up with the help of some tasty treats. Once he knows you, he adores lots of strokes and cheek rubs and will head bump your hand for more. He does not always know the meaning of personal space and will reach up to kiss your chin! He will need a private garden of his own to explore once he has settled. He could live with older school age children who will interact with him gently and take introductions at his pace. You will have a forever friend by your side. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Edwardo, you can e-mail our rehoming team on on to register your interest. e cat you have contacted us about.

About Edwardo

What life with Edwardo looks like

Edwardo is a medium-sized young adult cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction β€” every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Edwardo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Edwardo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Edwardo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Edwardo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Edwardo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Edwardo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Edwardo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
