Elle n’était qu’innocence…

Mixed Breed · Female

This poor little dog lived only four short months. Born with a private individual, she was given away without identification, which is completely against the law, and yet still common. Her first owner lost her in an apartment building. A young man came to her rescue. Unfortunately, after taking the dog home, his good intentions quickly turned when he realized it was a small female. The conversation soon shifted to the "business" that could come from exploiting this poor little dog. It didn't matter if there was an owner; some people don't care about a possible microchip... money is more important than anything. Two volunteers from the association went on site to take the dog to a veterinarian and see if there was an owner. Things quickly went wrong and the police had to be called. The young potential "businessman" claimed not to have the animal anymore, he had given it to a third party, whose name, address, first name, or phone number he no longer remembered, but he knew the dog would be happy in a big garden. It took very patient police officers to listen to such lies... Without an order from the prosecutor, it was impossible to enter these individuals' homes. Two hours later, the dog's body was found at the bottom of the building, four floors below the apartment, her small body smashed and covered in blood. They don't deny that she went through the window, and therefore, incidentally lied to the police, but they claim she jumped out of the window on her own. There is no balcony, and there were no furniture in front of the window, a railing prevents anyone from falling, and it wasn't especially hot. Today we asked for the size of the poor little dog and she wasn't that big. We filed a complaint on Thursday at noon, while the person was in custody. Everything was done to try to save this dog, the police officer who arrived on site even tried a cardiac massage. We want to thank the people on the scene, all very shocked, the municipal police of Draveil, the members of the police station who received us quickly, and the 30 Millions d'Amis foundation which has joined as a civil party. However, the complaint for cruelty was closed. Are we going to tolerate for much longer that we steal, kill, and exploit poor innocents?

FR·Show original

About Elle n’était qu’innocence…

What life with Elle n’était qu’innocence… looks like

Elle n’était qu’innocence… is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animaux sans Foyer in Montgeron.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Elle n’était qu’innocence…, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Elle n’était qu’innocence…?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animaux sans Foyer handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Elle n’était qu’innocence… on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Elle n’était qu’innocence… if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animaux sans Foyer will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Elle n’était qu’innocence… already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Elle n’était qu’innocence… isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animaux sans Foyer early rather than rehoming privately; they know Elle n’était qu’innocence… and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
